I like drawing mice!
Here is a selection of mice doing things.
I have been working on Alf and Betty for a little while now. I have made up some silly ABC poems for young kids. And a simple count to ten book. And letters of the alphabet…
Jitna is a character I created from a photograph of a young child during a Make Art That Sells online course. It was my first ever attempt at creating a human character! Hooray!
Here is a family of bears that I have created. It’s hard not to love a bear.
I created and illustrated a story about a fly in order to enter a competition. The prize was to win the chance to work with Honeycomb Animation to animate the story. My little fly story was made into an animation and shown at Animated Exeter, a film festival in Exeter, Devon.
Here is a selection of double acts that I have been working on. They are various stages of development. Some projects I have stories in mind and some I don't…
Here are some illustrations of some animals and other creatures that I have created over the years for various ‘projects’…
Here are some silly characters that I have created for young children to enjoy. They could go on some wonderful silly adventures together and do some really silly things...
This is a project I worked on during a Make Art That Sells online Children's Book Illustration course.
I don't think it is necessarily my best work but the course was great and a fantastic introduction into the world of book illustration. (I have had no illustration education).
The course has helped me to develop ideas I have had floating about for a long time. And it really fired me up and made me realise that illustration is what I love doing.
I had never tried to draw a Human until about a year ago. I don't find it nearly as scary as I thought it would be and I think I am getting better at it all the time.
Here is a selection of Humans doing things...
Here are some landscapes from other worlds. I like to escape to places out of this world.
I will add some landscapes from Our World soon...
I wanted to try and create characters that were both mystical and cute. I created three girls Tito, Kala and Mimi who live on Sancho Island and play around in their natural surroundings.
Here is a selection of images of the three girls...
Gobbs are just a bit of fun!
A Company looked at turning these characters into soft-ish balls that, when they were thrown, made a laughing noise. Unfortunately the project never came off but I still think it was a brilliant idea and would love it to happen sometime...
I have illustrated many of the Aesops Fables for my own amusement. Here is a selection of the stories.
This was my first attempt at illustrating anything. I did them quite a long time ago and I would love to go back to them and play around with them again (when I find some time)...
I designed and published greetings cards under the name C MAW for 11 years. I put this on hold to concentrate on being 'Mum'. C MAW was very successful and supplied some wonderful stores including Liberty, Selfridges, John Lewis, Globus...
Here is a selection of my greetings card designs.
